Not to say Ministry & Marketplace are separate entities. Although at times they should be, but you may find an overlapping within each depending upon what the Lord has placed on the inside of you to do and the structure of each formation.

Two great sources I love to use are Alibaba & Global Sources. If you are looking for parts you may need for your invention or packaging, etc., these are great sites. They will also send you free samples to try if you pay shipping and handling.

MINISTRY

Everyday we have impressions and ideas of how a product could be better, how a new product would be beneficial and solve problems and even solve serious medical issues. We are constantly bombarded with thought; even have dreams and it behooves us to slow down and allow those thoughts to be thoroughly processed in our thought life. When you get an idea, write it down; the description, the name, even draw a sketch of what you would imagine it to be and how (if applicable) it should function/operate.

Resources

These two organizations; the Technology Garden and Technology Development Organization I have worked with extensively. It was through my interaction with the Technology Garden I had found out about S.A.T.O.P.  Program; Space Alliance Technology Outreach Program. This program S.A.T.O.P. awarded me $10,000 worth of electrical engineering work for free.

I qualified simply because I had a small business: a DBA and I had a technical problem that I needed solved. They solved it for me; the problem I had was how to make my invention function. An electrical engineer picked up the job in New Mexico, US and worked with me.

The Small Business Development Centers are also a great resource to utilize.

I, again, have worked with both as I live on the county line of both counties. The SBDC will help assist you in training, seminars and will help you write up a Business Proposal so you can seek Angel Investors, Microfinance Programs, etc.

Business Plan

I have attached a blank one for you to view here:  Business Plan.pdf

S.C.O.R.E. Workshops - https://syracuse.score.org

These workshops are great to attend and very educational. If they can help you receive start up monies from Federal Grants; they are awarded money for doing so. They will help you with your product from idea to marketplace and even give lists of what the Government//Education Department/Military is looking for product-wise to see if anyone is able to produce the solution.

Books  & Writing

When it comes to writing and books, I have ghost written Christian Children's Books for an Illustrator.

You want to check into Copyright Laws: https://www.copyright.gov

Here locally in the Syracuse, NY area I have a Printing Company I have worked with and a Publishing Company I have referred others to as well as editors and illustrators. You're going to want to connect up with someone in marketing as well.

If in this area and you need the contacts, please inbox me, if out of the area, it's great to connect up with those in your area. It's all about connections!

As for writing on Social Media; there are great sites to post your blogs: WordPress, Blogger, Tumblr, Medium, Svbtle, Google+ and LinkedIn.

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters .  Colossians 3:23

I love this story.  It teaches us how God can multiply the little that we have. What do you have in your hands? In your home? A natural talent ,gift or ability? Something you enjoy doing? A passion? Something you desire to be different in the Earth? Something to relieve suffering? Something perhaps to enhance quality of life? A product, idea? A service you can provide? What is it the Lord has placed on the inside of you to be cultivated?

And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers. Ephesians 4:11

INVENTIONS

Grants- I have taken a grant writing course through a local organization. These courses are free and  come in handy when having to write up a Grant Proposal for submission.

He has filled them with skill to do all kinds of work as engravers, designers, embroiderers in blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen, and weavers-all of them skilled workers and designers. Exodus 35:35

In Ephesians 2:10 it says, "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Many will speak from the pulpit that 'good works' is in regards to being charitable. This is not the solely the case.

When you go into the actual, contextual meaning of the words 'works' it is the Greek word, 'ergon' and has a two-fold meaning.

One of which has to do with the natural gifts, talents, and abilities within you to prosper you.

The other meaning has to do with identifying and operating in the spiritual gifts/calling the Lord has placed within you to serve others with.

Here are both meanings:

Business, employment, that which any one is occupied, that which one undertakes to do, enterprise, undertaking, any product whatever, any thing accomplished by hand, art, industry, or mind, an act, deed, thing done: the idea of working is emphasised in opposition to that which is less than work.
&

The works of salvation, works to be done by Apostles and other Teachers, as well as presiding officers of religious assemblies, work performed in ministry or an undertaking in ministry.

There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.  There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord.  And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all.  But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit,  to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit,  to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.  But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills. 1 Corinthians 12: 5-11

Once you have an idea for a small business, business entity, non-profit, not-for-profit, a product or service you can provide or an invention idea; THE most important thing you can do is to educate yourself on Local, State and Federal Laws as to the laws, bylaws , legal requirements of the formation of such, as to whether or not you need certain licenses, certifications, degrees, etc. You want to do all of your research on legal requirements prior to beginning; including insurance requirements as well. Complying with both the legal and insurance requirements will serve as a protection to you. Apart from that, you want a formation built on a foundation; legally, legitimately, honestly undergirded in integrity; as to bring honor to the Lord in all you do.

There are those who are called into Ministry and the Lord does not call without the equipping. There are many gifts, spiritual in nature, that the Lord has placed within each person.  It's up to you to pray, to seek the Lord on that and to cultivate those gifts within you so that you may operate in them fluently.

Music Industry

There are many that have musical gifts within them.  It never hurts to have someone help you to fine tune those gifts.

Here locally, my son attends Music in the Air Studios, he takes piano and voice lessons.

His instructor went to school with my oldest child.

Billy, the Founder/Instructor- very talented young man.

They also produce CD's and Music Video's as well as hold concerts and performances.

When it comes to those with a musical inclination; I have helped steer them in the direction of their gifts.

The Cutting Room Studios in Manhattan, NYC is a place I send vocalists, lyricists, instrumentalists.

The owner I met as a business contact years ago.

They recommend you send either an audio/video of your performance and a one  page biography with photo.

They listen and watch  everything that comes in.  They will look to see if they can work with you and perhaps if not as a soloist; that you  may fit in working with a band, etc., but they are a great contact to have.

Farming & Agriculture

Arts

Many have great artistic talents, whether it be painting, sculpting; ceramics, metals, wood, etc.

With many who create hand made products, I recommend renting a table at a local Farmers Market, Craft Show, or a Booth at a Fair, etc.,

Library's and Museum's are great for Amateur Displays.

You could also donate items to fundraisers for advertising, but you want to push the product out there.

But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today. Deuteronomy 8:18

It's important upon searching to see if there is already an existing Patent or Trademark by using a 'Boolean' search.

It is more of an exhaustive search.

Boolean logic is a system of showing relationships between sets by using the words AND, OR, and NOT.

Non-Disclosure Agreement
Prior to discussing your invention/product idea with anyone, it is important to have you and the person/company you are speaking with sign one of these and both to have signed originals in possession prior to discussing your invention idea.

~ Read Psalm 112 & Proverbs 31~

These two chapters speak on marketplace and about generosity. All throughout Scripture we see God's blessing upon the generous heart. So let all you do be mindful of that, that however the Lord has blessed you, it is so that you in return, can be a blessing to someone else.

BUSINESS START-UP

DBA*LLC*INC

If you have a business idea, it is best to check with your Federal, State and Local Offices to inquire of the nature and formation of that business. They will also explain to you the difference in tax codes, etc. In New York State check here. If in another State, check within your own jurisdiction. http://www.ny.gov/services/licenses

When forming a business, you have to ask yourself, "What solution or problem will I solve? What is the need for this product and/or service? Who will be the target audience I will market the product and/or service to? What will the cost be? Who are my competitors? What will be the difference in setting my product and/or service apart from my Competition? What would make consumers want to choose over my Competitor? What are my goals?"

You need a name and a logo/design (please see above for Trademark Office to register a Trademark and Logo- one is not necessary; especially in Small Business, but as you grow, you may want to think about getting one.

After you consult with the State Licensing Requirements and after checking to make sure you don't need any additional certifications, degrees, etc., you're going to want to check into having a minimum of liability insurance and/or other insurances for employees as your company grows.  I have found for Small Business; insurance is much cheaper through Mom and Pop Shop type insurance places than National Insurance Companies.

You're going to want to apply for a  Federal EIN (Employer Identification Number) through the IRS (the Internal Revenue Service) prior to hiring employees, but you will need this number to take with you to open a Business Checking for your business.

Apply for a federal EIN here: https://www.irs.gov/businesses/small-businesses-self-employed/how-to-apply-for-an-ein

As for Marketing/Advertising; I use Vista Print for all stationary needs: http://www.vistaprint.com

Social Media: Social Media is a great way to get your product and service out there in the public and it's free. You have Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google+, Pinterest, Reddit, Periscope, etc.

As for Marketing/Advertising on Social Media, I have taken several courses and seminars from a woman who is a Billionaire, a Social Media guru and made a top Forbes list.

You want to connect all of your Social Media Accounts and you want to be posting at least every 2 hours to increase overall reach.

You could also create flyers and place them at Businesses, Schools and Grocery Stores but I find the best marketing is providing excellent services and/or products and the word of mouth will increase your business. With the line of work I am in, I rarely solicit business. I hear stories of Attorney's at business dinners with other Attorney's and my name will drop. I walk into Real Estate Closings and have been highly commended for my work. That is the best marketing strategy. Excellence. All of my clients, I have never met in person and they are all located in NYC about a 5-6 hour drive from me. It's through word of mouth, excellent customer service, relationship building, through a quality reputation that I am called, 'the best in the business'.  Don't be afraid sometimes to offer free work, a service, or product, to fix freely an error on your part, and to go the extra mile. In my line of work, I find that I clean up the messes of others so in the end, it all works out, and if you do that... to make others look better,  people will love and appreciate you for it.

You want to check into what your needs are as well. What items will you need to provide your service and/or product? Computer equipment? Office Supplies? Packaging?

Make sure you have an Accountant on hand as all business expenses can be taken into consideration come tax season.

When it comes to payroll, you can do so out of your Business Checking but as you grow, there are a lot of Payroll Companies and again this cost can come into consideration for costs of running the business at tax season.

When it comes to facilities; you want to check with Local Ordinances for zoning for traffic, parking, fire codes, etc., and any additional permits you may need.

Remember to love what you do. There is a saying, "If you love what you do, you'll never have to work a day in your life."

You want a business you enjoy doing. A business where you feel you are giving back to society and making a difference in the lives of others. You want a business where you find personal fulfillment in because that will keep you going when the weight and the stress of owning and running a business kicks in and believe me, it will.

Don't work for money, don't let that be your focus, don't be a money chaser.  Work to enhance lives and this world and money will chase you.

By doing so, your focus will never be the numbers at the end of the day or week, but your 'bottom line' will be what you produced. Some things cannot be measured with money.

Yes, you want a profitable and prosperous business; but that profit and prosperity is not always measured in money. It is measured in the lives you changed and had an impact on.

Remember... When the Lord blesses you and your business, don't forget to be generous with what He has given you. His dividends will payout greater than any check you could receive. There is a correlation between generosity and wealth.  Within any wealthy person; you will always find an intelligent mind and a generous heart.
